If you would like to work in a profession where you provide care, protection, support, welfare and advocacy for vulnerable or dependent individuals or groups, Social Care will be of interest to you.

The profession is committed to the planning and delivery of quality care and other support services for individual groups with identified needs. As well as protecting and advocating for such individuals and groups, Social Care workers guide, challenge and support those entrusted to their care toward achieving their full potential.

What will I experience?

Students will experience a variety of modules and lectures to help them acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence to support society’s more vulnerable or dependent children or adults. A work placement (minimum of 800 hours) is a central figure of the student’s experience during the three years (9 weeks per year).
